“If I could go back and tell myself “if it doesn’t feel right, speak up.” But it’s really hard to speak up when you’re under the influence of some authority. Meet New York based writer, content strategist and healer, Kristina Headrick.
She is also the creator of Yia Mas, a health and wellness brand and workshop series inspired by Greece’s land and ancient wisdom.
She specialises in wellness, experiential, lifestyle and the arts. Offscreen, she finds and facilitates artful ways to engage the senses. These include dancing, meditation, yoga and more. Recently she also founded the fun and inclusive meditation club, Meditation and Tacos
Her passion for writing, philosophy, healing, and creativity extends to the realm of movement. She is a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200), Reiki 1 level practitioner, and Greek folk dance freak. Her off-screen life involves a lot of movement, music, and expression.
In this podcast Kristina and Caitlin discuss:
– how some healers and spiritual businesses can disempower / manipulate people, and how to identify if it’s happening to you
– what integrity in the industry looks like and how to find a good healer / coach / therapist
– the stigma against medication and mental illness, and why taking medication is not a “cop out” and does not make you “less spiritual.”
– why on a spiritual journey, it’s always important to listen to yourself first
